Sixty-five years ago, Pfc. James Bryant was aboard as the glider reached Normandy, France, during the early morning hours of June 7. He was 19 years old and attached to the 325th Glider Infantry Regiment of the famed 82nd Airborne Division.

'We Do Remember': The 65th Anniversary of D-Day

Today, Bryant is 84 and lives in Daleville. On Saturday, he joined an ever-dwindling number of surviving D-Day veterans and a crowd of about 4,000 at the National D-Day Memorial in Bedford to mark the 65th anniversary of the massive Allied invasion of World War II.
