OMAHA, Neb. -- Virginia Tech junior Chris Diaz became the seventh All-American in school history Friday when he beat second-seeded Jamal Parks of Oklahoma State, 7-3, at 141 pounds in the NCAA Wrestling Championships.

Diaz, who is seeded 11th, dropped his opening match, but then reeled off four straight wins to stay alive. Diaz is the only Hokie advancing to today's medal round.
