Roanoke Police Chief Chris Perkins promoted longtime colleague Curtis Davis to deputy chief Thursday, a job Perkins vacated last month when he was appointed the city's top law enforcer.
Davis, 42, had been captain of the police criminal investigations bureau. He's a 21-year Roanoke veteran, with experience as a patrol officer, vice investigator, patrol and vice sergeant, and director of the police academy. He also served on the tactical team.See the full content of this document
