In the early morning of November 2, 2009, LCDR Arthur Louis Ruedisueli, USCG, retired, passed away after a hard fought battle with cancer for the past eight years. He fought so hard to live, enjoying life way beyond his prognosis.
Born on Thursday, April 21, 1938, in Detroit, Mich., Art was the only child of the late James Charles Ruedisueli and Genevieve Lewin Ruedisueli. He attended St. Clair High School, St. Clair Shores, Mich., and graduated from the United States Coast Guard Officer's Candidate School, Yorktown, Va., in 1964.
