Stanley Truman Kummer, of Roanoke, passed away three days shy of his 92nd birthday. One of 12 children, he was born in Baltimore, Md., on August 27, 1919.
Stan was a proud, successful, self-made man who spent his early years in an orphanage in Catonsville, Md. Graduating as president of his senior class at Catonsville High School, he went on to attend the University of Maryland and graduate with a degree in accounting and finance.
