William C. (Bill) Garvey Jr., 89, of Roanoke, Va., passed away on Monday, February 22, 2010. Bill was the youngest of nine children born to William C. Sr. and Maggie Folden Garvey in Glade Spring, Va. He was Valedictorian of his high school class and received a full scholarship to attend Emory & Henry College.
Upon his graduation from Emory & Henry in 1941, he moved to Madison Heights near Lynchburg, Va. He met his beloved Marjorie in Lynchburg and they were married on Christmas Eve, 1942. She preceded him in death in 1990.See the full content of this document
