Summary


Threatening to kill a California transit policeman and his family -- plus an ongoing pattern of threats and insults that included making a pornographic drawing of a U.S. attorney -- brought a Roanoke man three years in prison Monday.

"There is a level of venom and violence here that is beyond understanding," U.S. District Court Judge Samuel Wilson said before sentencing Jeffrey Lynn Weaver to a prison term longer than that recommended by sentencing guidelines.
