Lynchburg College Offers Non-Credit Courses to the Public

Summary


Lynchburg College wants to connect students with the surrounding community through outdoor recreation excursions. Paul Stern, director of the college's Outdoor Leadership Program, said his department offers a variety of not-for-credit courses that are open to the public each year.

Courses include rock climbing, caving, horseback riding, kayaking, scuba diving and hiking. The newest course, Learn to Sail, includes hands-on training at Smith Mountain Lake, courtesy of the Virginia Inland Sailing Association.
