On July 1, the second phase of a boating safety law went into effect. All personal watercraft operators age 35 and younger are required to pass a boating safety education course before operating the crafts.
Most courses are free and are offered locally and online. Participants will receive a boating safety education card, which must be kept on board whenever operating PWCs. Noncompliance results in a $100 civil penalty fee.See the full content of this document
