Inmate Is Denied Parole Over '85 Death of Medic

Kenny Edmonds, convicted in 1985 for the brutal slaying of Roanoke jail medic Barry Pendrey, has been denied parole for the seventh time.

Edmonds was notified Friday that the Virginia Parole Board has again denied his petition for release and will not reconsider his case for three years, according to Parole Board Administrator Joan Wade.
