Ideas to File Away for Next 'Visitor Season'

With September well upon us, laker calendars are a lot less likely to have weekends blocked out for visits from family and friends. Entertaining is great fun but always lots of work, especially for the women, who often end up doing most of the cooking, cleaning and shopping required for weekend guests. (Please note: I do vacuum, help make beds and my wife, Ferne, and I power shop together at the supermarket.)

For many, September is a time to kick back, relax, enjoy a few more spectacular afternoons and evenings on the water and reflect on the summer "visitor season." While lounging on the dock the other day, I thought some of our highlights might sound familiar and provide ideas for next year's influx of visitors.
