Summary
For many years the blacktop track at Patrick Henry High School has been a great resource for the community in the Raleigh Court area and the city. Sitting behind the school, tucked in the woods on three sides, it's not uncommon to find deer grazing there or a turtle wandering around. It is a bit of an urban park, with the Murray Run Greenway paralleling it briefly before winding back into the woods.
More importantly, for years, runners and walkers have exercised there, often with their children walking, biking or roller-blading along. Kids were pushed in strollers and children (including my wife when she was young and our own kids more recently) have learned to ride bikes there. It's been a great place for little ones to learn to love physical activity with their families. Certainly, the PH athletes have trained there, though I'd venture to guess that the community as a whole has cumulatively used the area far more than the athletes.See the full content of this document
