Summary
After reading the commentary "The politics of inspiring rage" by Jerome Schleifer in The Roanoke Times on June 29, my initial response was, "I can't let this go unchallenged."
I can understand Schleifer's irritation upon receiving this mindless correspondence from someone too cowardly to identify himself. He assumes this individual to be a Republican and, as he states in his article, assumptions can be dangerous (and often wrong). I can guess where he pegs me, since I actually do "complacently write off the postcard's author as some sort of off- the-wall kook."See the full content of this document
