I'll never forget the Christmas that a little dog named Sweet Pea ruined things down at the Johnny West ranch.

As a kid of about 11, I just had to have the Johnny West action figure and his horse, Thunderbolt. I was a cowboy junkie back then, and Johnny West to me was like the G.I. Joe of the old West. I had fun walking cowboy and horse around the "range" that the rest of my family called a house. I'd be down on all fours, moving them along, looking for cattle rustlers and whatnot.
