For the fourth year, bike officers with the Christiansburg Police Department will increase their patrols in the town's shopping district on Black Friday.
Through the Safe Shoppers initiative, many of the department's 13 officers who are trained to patrol from atop bicycles will be assigned to keep watch over the most crowded shopping areas: the New River Valley Mall, Walmart, Kmart, Lowe's and the Spradlin Farms shopping center, which includes Target.See the full content of this document
