H. Paul and Nadine Henderson Wiemer of Southwest Roanoke County celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on July 31, 2009, at the Homeplace Restaurant. Paul and Nadine met in Washington, D.C., at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in August 1948, shortly after Paul's discharge from the U.S. Marine Corps.
