One of the lake's striper fishing guides is temporarily out of commission after a boating accident last week. On Aug. 24 around 6:30 a.m. near B1, a West Virginia man's boat struck a boat operated by Daniel Berthiaume of Captain Bert's Fishing Charters, according to law enforcement.
Lt. Chris Thomas of the Virginia Department of Game and Inland Fisheries said Robert Frazier, 78 of Amherstdale, W.Va., was approaching the side of Berthiaume's 2009 25-foot Carolina Skiff. Berthiaume swerved to avoid being hit, but Frazier's 1999 19-foot Hurricane still side-swiped the Skiff, causing extensive property damage.See the full content of this document
