Samantha Bishop, age 5, is a happy little girl from South Botetourt County. She is a kindergartner this fall. During the summer, she visited Carrington Place, a long-term care facility in Daleville.

Her mother, Kathryn , felt it would be good for Samantha to experience people who grew up going to church, reading the newspaper and of high moral values. "The people who live there so enjoy seeing children," said Bishop. Samantha and her friend Jackie Corl , 6, of Troutville visited the facility in August and did a craft project using Play-Doh. "They smile a lot," said Samantha.
