Quitting Baseball a Tough Call for Hiner

When it came to baseball, Nate Hiner went out on a high note. At the time, he didn't realize he was going. A freshman at Radford University and a June graduate of Christiansburg High School, Hiner thought he'd be able to do it all. In his case, "all" turned out to be too much of a good thing.

Ru Student Government Criticizes Leaders

The Radford University Student Government Association has joined the chorus of faculty and alumni asking President Penelope Kyle to remedy ongoing problems with "mismanagement" and "miscommunication" on sensitive issues. The SGA approved a letter of concern addressed to Kyle on Monday and posted it to the organization's Web site Tuesday. It was delivered to the administration Wednesday, according to SGA Senator Jordan Draper.
